70s Reunion The 70s was an amazing decade for Hornby Rugby; in 1974 the club was promoted to the Christchurch senior men’s competition and the clubrooms were completed in time for the Commonwealth Games. In 1978 the club undertook a tour to Brisbane and the Gold Coast Off the field, we socialized enthusiastically, and lifelong friendships were formed. 50 years on, it’s time to remember and celebrate those years, achievements and friendships. While promotion in 74 followed by full participation in the Christchurch senior men’s competition from 1975, is a focus of the reunion, it is much more than that; it’s also about the years before and after 1974 and extends beyond players to supporters, families and the community. Join us to remember, celebrate and renew acquaintances on Kings Birthday weekend, Friday May 31 to Sunday June 2, 2024. Please complete the Registration of Interest form https://forms.gle/VZVFNzPgemHXxAxH8 to indicate your interest in attending, and/or receiving more information about, Hornby Rugby's 1970s' 50-year reunion to be held from Friday May 31 to June 2, 2024.
